AND THE WINNER IS... Carnival Cruise Lines was voted "Number One Cruise Line" by readers of the Fresno Bee... It was also named "Best of Cruising" by Fodor's Complete Guide to European Cruising in nine categories: regular dining room cuisine, specialty restaurants, families, regular cabins, beds, entertainment, sports and fitness centers, shops, and fun and funky activities.

Do cruise passengers enjoy their experience? 94.8 percent of them do, according to research by Cruise Lines International Association, a trade group. CLIA also reports that the typical cruise traveler has an income of $93,000, that 69 percent have college degrees, and that 72 percent cite "close to home" ports as increasing their likelihood to cruise.
